“If a wire is causing irritation, cover the end with a small cotton ball, beeswax or a piece of gauze...”
What to do...
If you experience problems with braces and retainers.
If a wire is causing irritation, cover the end with a small cotton ball, beeswax or a piece of gauze, until you can get to our office. If a wire gets stuck in the cheek, tongue or gum tissue, do not attempt to remove it. Call our office immediately. If an appliance becomes loose or a piece of it breaks off, bring the appliance and the piece to our office.
Always call our office, we will be more than happy to see you and most times on the same day. We hope these tips can help you with your braces and appliances.
